EPO Trio
EPO Trio est encore une formation musicale atypique qui réunit un multi instrumentiste dans le domaine des vents (saxophones, clarinettes, flûte) et 2 percussionnistes. L’un des percussionnistes jouera des claviers percussions (vibraphone, marimba) dans un set particulier (comprenant une batterie), le deuxième jouera un nouveau set créé pour l’occasion autour d’instruments traditionnels de divers horizons et d'objets de récupération.
Le trio présentera une partie du répertoire développé avec la grande formation EPO invite Oliver Lake, mais également de nouvelles pièces spécifiquement pensées pour ce format orchestral.
Il proposera une lecture tout à fait différente de la musique composée, car pour la première fois il y aura des instruments polyphoniques mais la polyrythmie sera aussi prégnante que dans le nonet ou le septet.
Le son d’ensemble développé sera orienté « Musiques du Monde » et Jazz, jusqu’au Free Jazz (Ancient to the Future pour reprendre la formule de l’Art Ensemble of Chicago) mais pourra également toucher d’autres horizons (rock, improvisation…).

EPO Trio is another atypical musical formation which brings together a multi-instrumentalist in the sphere of wind instruments (saxophones, clarinets, flute) and 2 percussionists. One of the percussionists will play percussion keyboards (vibraphone, marimba) in a special set (including drums), the second will play a new set created for the occasion around traditional instruments from various horizons and objects of recovery.
The trio will present a part of the repertoire developed with the great formation EPO invites Oliver Lake, but also new pieces specifically created for this orchestral format.
It will offer a completely different reading of the music composed, because for the first time there will be polyphonic instruments, but the polyrhythm will be as strong as in the nonet or the septet.
The ensemble sound developed will be oriented towards "World Music" and Jazz, up to Free Jazz (Ancient to the Future to use the formula of the Art Ensemble of Chicago) but will also be able to reach out other horizons (rock, improvisation...).
